                         world-wide leader in ultrasonic technology
SONICS' President, Robert Soloff, received his first patent in 1962 (for a sonic spray nozzle) and went on to invent the process of ultrasonic plastics welding one year later. In 1969, he founded Sonics & Materials, Inc. and through the next 4 decades, has continued his pioneering work in the field of ultrasonics, accruing an impressive 12 patents in his own name. He is a former director of the Ultrasonic Industry Association and has authored numerous articles on ultrasonic assembly and chemical processing for industry publications.
