Taihei was founded in 1990 by a group of promising professionals who spent many years working for a Japanese company, with anticipation of the rapid growth in the Electronics manufacturing industries. The valuable culture and values were being honored by naming the company Taihei, meaning "pacific" in Japanese. This name, like a mark of assurance for clients, reminds us to constantly strive for excellence across regions. Within a short period of time, Taihei grew to become one of the leading manufacturer and supplier of cable assemblies.
Filled with passionate and daring green minds, Taihei soon became the sole agent and distributor for Sonics & Materials, Inc. in the regions of Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia and Thailand. From the initial provision of sales and services for Ultrasonic welding systems, Taihei’s operations grew to being a one-stop provider for local design and custom machining of tooling and fixtures by our team of engineers and experts for ultrasonic plastic welding, vibration welding, and spin welding, as well as multi‐element configurations for spot welding, staking and insertion.
Today, Taihei with its years of expertise in the field of ultrasonics, provides on‐site trainings and technical consultations on ultrasonic applications and know-how for our clients. Exporting to over 10 countries globally under multiple award-winning brands, Taihei Group has established itself as the ideal brand for customers and distributors alike who are searching for the reliable and affordable ultrasonic integration company, without compromising on both the quality and the reliability. Taihei is distinctive for its quick translation of technical concepts into user-oriented innovations, high standards of quality and reliable customer service.
Looking back, a design subsidiary division was established in partnership in 2009, providing professional custom design and print services to various government institutions and business organisations. Just as how a good branding design symbolizes a grand new milestone for our clients, this is yet another milestone for Taihei, in our bid to diversify and cater to more business needs.
In 2013, a major rebranding exercise was embarked for the joint-venture R&D manufacturing arm. Measures were implemented; amongst them were efforts to streamline operations and a fresh new look for Toyama.
In 2014, the design subsidiary partnership was renamed Hans:t Design after a successful merger. With the necessary expertise and equipment, web development services were being introduced. This foray into web services puts the company in a better position of becoming a leading provider for design services.
Singaray Technology joined Taihei in 2021. With the vast experience and expertise in cable assemblies, this merger strengthens our capabilities to deliver the best to our partners.
Looking ahead, Taihei is exploring into expanding our current distribution network with greater investment opportunities further from our homeland.
